Team One Yamaha Raises Over $50,000 for Coweta County Tornado Relief

In the early morning hours of Friday, March 26th, a devasting tornado struck the town of Newnan, Georgia, home to Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Company and where many of our factory employees and their families live. Shortly after, both YMUS and YMMC designated the Coweta Community Foundation Tornado Relief as the key recipient for employee donations for all relief efforts and YMUS and YMMC executives offered a generous 200% matching fund for all employee donations received.

Last week, key members of YMMC staff turned over a check in the amount $50,760 directly to the very appreciative staff and team members of the Coweta Community Foundation Tornado Relief program.

To date, the fund has helped 80 families with a portion of their homeowners/renters/auto insurance deductibles, as well as provided a grant to a local nonprofit to continue their efforts to provide assistance. Total tornado relief efforts have helped 255 families and funded eight nonprofit grants focused on Tornado Recovery assistance.
